Members of the Waverly High School orchestra performed Thursday in front of 750 business men and women at the Lansing Chamber of Commerce awards dinner. Students also volunteered at coat check. It was wonderful to represent our school in front of some of Lansing's finest (Mayor Benero and Tom Izzo and family!!!!) and we were also given a generous gift of $1000 from our sponsors, LAFCU. WAY TO GO WAVERLY ORCHESTRA!!! You are the best!

Waverly Orchestras Perform for the Chamber of Commerce
Members of the Waverly High School orchestra performed Thursday in front of 750 business men and women at the Lansing Chamber of Commerce awards dinner. Students also volunteered at coat check. Congratulations to all WMS and WHS performers this week at festival! Waverly Middle Schoolers, under the direction of Ms. Kang, performed on Friday. 7th graders received an overall rating of division II, and the 8th graders played for comments only.
The Waverly High School Festival orchestra (under the direction of Mrs. Spurbeck) also played Friday, and received a Division I rating, the highest rating given at this festival. Congratulations to all our students!
